Islabela was born from the encounter between 3 entrepreneurs and the Isleta community.

Alison and Yann, workers in the restaurant sector, fell in love with Colombia during a 7-month trip to South America. They decided to settle there after having returned for a year to their home country, Belgium.

Back in Colombia they found their future partner, Alejandro. A native of the Eje Cafetero, Alejandro started in the hotel sector with his first hotel, Jasayma, which he opened with his brother in the heart of Tayrona Park, 10 years ago.

Alison, Alejandro and Yann joined forces and their experiences to open IslaBela, the first community project born from an alliance between the community and the private sector.

They wanted to show that more than accommodation, Islabela is a Premium destination with a responsible philosophy that provides comfort and privacy while protecting nature and positively impacting the community. Most of the employees are natives of the island.
